I thought I knew all the atrocities perpetrated by people against others!
I was wrong!
I’ve learned of cruelties against a minority by the government of the African state of Uganda. A new law is about to be passed, that sentences these individuals to legal persecution including murder, not only by functionaries of the state, but also by its neighbours and other citizens!
This minority named L.G.B.T.Q. includes people named Homosexual, Lesbian, Transgender, Bisexual and other sexual minorities will no longer be safe if this law is passed. They will become outlaws in the country of their birth, unable to lead normal lives. Their existence will become intolerable.
Foreign governments and ordinary citizens must place pressure on Uganda’s ruler to desist from pursuing this violation of human rights!
I am aware that other African countries also denounce this minority. Zimbabwe’s deceased leader Robert Mugabe had openly attacked them in his time. Others too have expressed their rejection in Africa and globally.
Such views are unjustified, immoral and mistaken. People are born with their sexual orientation.
